Position Summary
Build and Own Your own Book of Business
The Life and Health Insurance Agent is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of clients with personal and group coverage needs. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping people, has deep product knowledge, and takes a consultative approach to building long-term financial protection strategies.
What You Will Do
- Prospect, develop, and retain a portfolio of clients through referrals, community networking, and outbound outreach
- Conduct coverage needs assessments and financial consultations
- Present personalized life, health, and supplemental insurance solutions
- Educate clients on plan options, benefits, exclusions, and long-term value
- Guide clients through the application, enrollment, and underwriting process
- Maintain strong relationships to support policy renewals, cross-selling, and client satisfaction
- Stay current with product changes, carrier updates, and healthcare regulations
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation, enrollments, and policy servicing
- Maintain compliance with state licensing and regulatory standards

Qualifications
No license needed to apply. Licensing reimbursement available.
- Active Life Only License or Life, Health, Accident & Disability License
- No license? Ask us about our reimbursable training and licensing program.
- 3+ years of experience in consultative sales or client service roles (life/health insurance experience preferred but not required)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and follow-up skills
- Self-starter mindset with excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Bonus Points For
- Experience with quoting and enrollment platforms
- Familiarity with CRM or agency management systems
- Insurance designations such as LACP, LUTCF, CLU, or RHU
- Existing book of business or strong referral network
- Bilingual abilities (Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Arabic, etc.)
