Position Summary
Build and Own Your own Book of Business
The Property & Casualty Agency Leader is responsible for developing, managing, and servicing a portfolio of individual and commercial clients with insurance needs spanning multiple coverage areas. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of home, auto, and commercial insurance products and a consultative sales approach to provide optimal risk solutions.
What You Will Do
- Maintain and grow a book of business with a focus on retention and cross-selling.
- Prospect, develop, and retain a portfolio of clients through referrals, networking, cold calling, and lead follow-up.
- Assess clients' risk profiles and recommend appropriate insurance coverage tailored to client needs.
- Prepare, present, and close insurance proposals including pricing, terms, and coverage details.
- Work with underwriters to negotiate the best terms, pricing, and conditions.
- Coordinate with service staff for policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, and claims support.
- Maintain a strong understanding of market trends and coverage changes.
- Educate clients on risk mitigation and policy coverage options, exclusions, endorsements, and renewal strategies.
- Ensure timely and accurate policy processing, endorsements, and renewals.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations as well as internal agency standards.

Qualifications
No license needed to apply. Licensing reimbursement available.
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance License
- No license? Ask about our reimbursable training and licensing program.
- 3+ years of experience in self-starting roles or account management
- 3+ years of experience in consultative sales roles (workman's compensation or property experience preferred but not required)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and follow-up skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter mindset with excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Bonus Points For
- Experience with rating/quoting tools and agency management systems
- Familiarity with CRM or agency management systems
- Insurance designations (CIC, CRM, CPCU, ARM, etc.)
- Existing book of business or strong referral network
- Experience with small to mid-size businesses across multiple industries
- Bilingual abilities (Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Arabic, etc.)
